I have my lovely wife to thank for Todays Day 03 brew.
Here’s a look at the pour – unfortunately I got the lighting all wrong
This beer comes in a regular size beer bottle and as you can see it’s got some funky water colour artwork – an owl out and about in a wintery setting. Not a lot of info on the bottle but I did find out it’s 6.7% alc. vol as told on the website.
The brew pours a deep garnet with a thumb of head. It has an aroma of chicory, malt, spice, possibly a fruity aspect happening there.
The sip – very nice indeed. It reminds me of another beer – Eye of the Hawk from a different brewery which is also a nice full flavoured malty beer. This beer almost doesn’t tread into winter beer territory because it’s lacking the overpowering spice aspect of treacle, all spice or vanilla etc.. The bitterness is interesting - less hop like and more chicory like.
I like this beer – definitely a re-buy. Check the brewery out and I’ll see you on Beermas Day 04.
